Monty sure had it tough in the first year or so of his life. He was found curled up in a ball on Montgomery Drive in Fairmount Park. Thankfully two park workers picked him up and called one of their friends who is a foster with our organization. She took poor Monty in and he was in sad shape.
His poor ears had been damaged from being frostbitten and they are now all crumpled at the edges. Monty was unsure of people at first and alternated between being loving and uncertain. He surely has seen some bad things in his life.
Monty now is a loving guy and absolutely adores other cats. He can get annoyed at times and will smack you. He will need a patient home where he'll be given time to learn to trust his new family.
Monty loves his foster home, but he would love his own home even more!
Please bear in mind, that we take several applications on each of our adoptables, and the best match possible is made in both the interest of the animal and the adopter. There is no such thing as 'first come, first serve' when it comes to our adoption process. It is deliberate and careful, as the animal you adopt is your responsibility for the duration of his or her lifetime.
Our Adoption Area is LIMITED to Philadelphia and the IMMEDIATE surrounding suburban counties . We DO NOT adopt out of state.
