Description:
Please contact Michelle (Mdeprima@kc.surewest.net) for more information about this pet. Taking applications and pre-adopting a beautiful medium to long-haired Gray Tabby mom. Her kittens are listed here as well. She was abandoned by her first family when they moved and a kind neighbor took care of her all winter. when he brought her to the Humane Society to be spayed, she was already in labor! (oops, a little late!). She has beautiful green eyes and is estimated to be 1 year old. She came into the Humane Society on St. Patrick's Day. She was named Shamrock. It was very difficult for her to relax and give birth at the shelter. I arrived to take her to my foster home and on the way home she had 4 kittens in the car! She had 1 more and we've subsequently taken on 2 more kittens whose Mom had a very difficult labor and delivery and was unable to support her own 2 kittens. She won't be ready to go to her new home until mid to late May when her babies no longer need her. She'll need some fattening up, she's lost alot of weight feeding all those babies!! She is a very outgoing, friendly girl and would be good with children. Right now she's very protective of her babies, so it's not clear how she'd do with other cats and dogs. If you've been looking for a friendly, long-haired kitty, Shamrock is pretty special. She'd love to visit with you! Her adoption fee is $65. All of our animals are spayed or neutered, up to date on shots and worming, tested for feline leukemia and treated for fleas and ear mites. They also come with a free well visit with one of our participating vets. We thank these vets for being such a valuable part of our adoption process! An application is required prior to visiting our animals in their foster homes and to help ensure a good fit between adopter and adoptee. Please contact Mdeprima@kc.surewest.net for an application.
