Description:
I shall be Cynthia so as not to call attention to myself. I've heard that people might see me as Cinderella - a beauty in rags awaiting a prince - or Anastasia - the Russian princess rumored to have survived. I am more. I hold my true name secret and sacred until my guardians come for me. Think, perhaps, an innocent countess guilty of no crime except living in the wrong place at the wrong time. Be assured that my inner beauty survives intact - and that, as you'll soon see, my outer beauty is not all that well hidden, either - though I believed my very survival depended upon disguise. A guardian angel came down from a car wash and rescued me from the side of the road where I had rather collapsed from my journey. Yes - a car wash - realize that you never know where an angel may be waiting, knowing that he will soon be needed to save a life - or nine lives in my case. The angel brought me here to await my forever guardians. You will know me by the soft colors, waving like prairie grass in the spring, of my designer fur that, even now, is returning to its proper glory after my ordeal. You will know me by my Mona Lisa face - the face of a lady that isn't often seen hereabouts. You will know me by the elegant way I bear myself and stretch toward you. She, indeed, is no mere alley cat, you will say. True, I may still hungrily put my special face into the food bowl and furiously dine. So would you if.... Enough of that. I prefer to look forward, not backward. Forward I become fully stunning once again. Forward I go home with you and you pet me and talk to me and glory in the wonder of your truly special cat. Forward I reveal my hidden name - which might be Cynthia, after all, or not. You will know - and so will I - if you'll stop in and offer these angels $100 so that they may always be ready for those of us who arrive with wings. PS: I currently reside at THE SHELTER (not in foster care). If you can't stop in but would like to know more about me, please call 651-642-5900, ext.3. Thanks!
