Tia (aka 'Herself') is a real find for the discerning cat owner -- someone who will treasure her individuality, and who seeks a lifelong companion who will never be boring. A better name for Tia would indeed be 'Herself.' Or perhaps 'Large and In Charge.' (Yes, she’s food-motivated.) She's a stunning all-white girl, 4 years old and spayed, who knows what she wants. And what she wants is to be close to you, but not too close, until she decides otherwise. She is neither shy nor skittish. She's just . . . the boss, affectionate on her own terms. Her previous owner, who developed allergies and had to give her up, said she was 'a real sweetheart.' Having to leave her home must have been very traumatic, because here she became quite defensive of her space. With time and dedication, she has come a long way. Tia requires a fairly quiet indoor-only home, preferably where she is the only pet, so that all your attention and appreciation will be lavished upon her and she will reward you in spades. An older child willing to forge such a relationship would be fine. Tia will be absolutely perfect for the true feline-aficionado who appreciates a once-in-a-lifetime gem.
