That ball of long gray fur curled up in the bed on the bench? That’s me, Smoke. I’m just hanging around, waiting for someone to come sit beside me and stroke my long gray fur. I just love to have people around me. I really like to nap though, so if I don’t wake up and say hi, don’t take it purr-sonally. Just continue patting me because I really do enjoy it. I’m even gentle enough for you to play with my huge double pawed feet while I snooze away. I’m a 4 year old neutered male who has had some problems with my teeth and only have a few left. I have no trouble eating though, just as long as I get the food that comes in the can. Yum. The folks here at the Animal Rescue League have given me a microchip, so if I ever go to the scary outdoors, I can be taken back to our home. I lived with many, many other cats before coming here. Some of us are now living together in one of the multi-cat rooms where we play and climb and eat and, ahhh, sleep. Come over and visit. I’m saving a space on the bench for you.Hi, I’m BJ. Living with a lot of different purr-sonalities can present life’s challenges for a 10 year old guy like me. Like today, there I was just lying in the window, enjoying the breezes when one of the little ones comes over to me and gives me a swat! Where is the respect for the elders now-a-days? Gee, I did nothing to deserve that. I gotta admit that life in a quiet house (like yours?) would suit this senior any day. My demands are low. Give me a window to lie in front of, some canned food because of my lack of teeth, a little loving, and I’ll be forever grateful. I’ll express my gratitude often, since I’m quite a talker. Sometimes though, I open my mouth to meow, but nothing comes out. People think that’s funny, but I think it’s embarrassing. I have no trouble purring though, as you’ll get to know when you come see me. I’ve been neutered and have a microchip in case I go outside, which I really don’t want to do.
