I have long fur that will need regular brushing so I don't get all knotted up. I am not a very happy girl when I have to get those knots taken out. I am about 2 years old. When I came to Animal Angels, I had been rescued from an abusive home. While I was at my previous home, they were very rough and threw me against walls like I was a basketball. I was lucky to come out alive. I was so thin when I arrived here, but since that time I have put on weight nicely (maybe a little too much). I did suffer one long term injury, though. At one time I had a beautiful puffy tail. One of the instances that I was thrown against the wall, my tail broke right in half and that was the end of that. I now have only a stub. It doesn't seem to bother me. It even might be an advantage because I don't have to worry about it getting stuck anywhere. Because of the abuse I had to endure, I was very frightened. Animal Angels has worked with me to realize that not everyone is out to hurt me. I am so happy now. I do like to talk. I run and jump and play with toys like I should be. Once in a while, I do get startled by little kids, but I am learning to trust them, too. My foster mom thinks that maybe it was a child that was abusive to me and that is why they make me nervous. I am not thrilled about other cats, but I am learning to be ok with them as long as they are not in my face. As for dogs, I haven't decided if I like them or not.
