Got your helmet? Let’s play head-butt! It’s one of my favorite pastimes (when I’m not lazing around, you understand). My name is Garfield, and I’m about 5 years old. When I was neutered here at the shelter, they put a microchip in my neck, in case I ever get lost. That could happen, if I ever got out, since I’ve never been outside and likely wouldn’t know my way around. I know, you think I look like a miniature male lion, ready to take on the world. I agree that I have the lovely coat, and spectacular tufted feet of a lion, but I’m not quite the roaring type. I tend toward the purring side, especially if you scratch my head, which feels so, so good! I am learning that humans aren’t real fond of love bites, and I am trying not to show my natural feline tendencies of using my mouth in play. I guess it’d best not be around little kids until I get this down pat, though. I am truly affectionate and don’t want you to mistake my intentions. I am missing some teeth, likely as a result of living with so many cats in one home, but that doesn’t really affect anything, right? I mean, I can still rub my face up against your hand as well as the next guy, don’t you think? I’m 5 years old and ready to start the next phase of my life butting heads with you (technically speaking, of course).
