Tori is approx. 1 - 1 1/2 years old. She came into the shelter the first week of May 2007. Someone had trapped her in a live trap and brought her to us injured. The poor thing had caught the bottom of her two front paws in the trap and the trap pinched them. Her paws were swollen to the size of a large dog's paw. Tori is being treated and the swelling is going way down. Through the whole ordeal, Tori has been very sweet and loving. She will be available soon for adoption but we would love to get her into a foster home as she may need surgery to fix her paws. PICTURES TO COME.
June 11, 2007 - UPDATE: Tori went in to be spayed and had surgery on her front paws. The vet took the enlarged portion of her pads off of her paws. She is now healing nicely and will be fine. Tori will not have much padding on her front paws but it will not stop her from leading a normal life.
