Kiera is a cute, petite, stumpy bobtail Manx, who weighs only about 6 pounds. She was born around February 1, 2007 and was rescued from a shelter where the conditions were so horrible that the state shut it down! Kiera arrived terrified and thin, but quickly recovered. She's blossomed into a very sweet-natured and affectionate cat, who adores being petted. When given attention, Kiera paces back and forth emitting a HUGE purr for such a little lady! She also loves to sleep on you in bed.
Kiera also interacts well with all the other foster and resident cats at TCR, she's never met a cat she didn't like on first sight.
Kiera has a chronic gum inflammation known as 'gingivitis'. This is not the same as 'stomatitis'. She has had a teeth cleaning and 4 teeth removed, but because of a reaction to the anesthetic the vet does not recommend any more dental work. She's eating canned food just fine, it just means she may lose her teeth earlier than other cats...not a problem since she loves canned food and can eat it with or without teeth.
Kiera's sweet and affectionate nature would make her a welcome addition to just about any home with a quiet environment. In my opinion, very young children might prove too much for this gentle little lady.
She is vaccinated, Thanks to a sponsor her adoption fee is reduced from $140 to $75.
Kiera is Sponsored by Richard, Greensboro, NC.
