Description:
Humane Society of Calloway County P. O. Box 764 607 Poplar Street Murray, Kentucky 42071 270-759-1884 humanesociety@murray-ky.net www.forthepets.org JASPER is a Big and Handsome cat. He is very loving and good-natured. We rescued Jasper as a little kitten from the animal shelter. He was adopted by his foster, but sadly, after over a year, he had to be surrendered back to us when they moved to Hawaii. Jasper then found a great home for almost 2 years with a nice man. He lived in a big house with plenty of room to roam and attention from his owner. Sadly, he was surrendered back to us again when his owner remarried to someone who had cat allergies. We are glad to have Jasper back because he is such a Grand Cat, but so sorry he didn't end up with a forever home. Jasper is a big boy, about 20+ lbs. He is negative for feline leukemia and FIV and heartworms (tested recently 9-29-09), has up-to-date vaccinations, is neutered and microchipped. He is litter box trained and does fine with his housetraining. He is a big cat and does best with an uncovered, large and hi-sided box-we use a tupperware storage container with a cut-out door. He allows his nails to be trimeed with clippers and a PediPaws. Jasper loves 1:1 people attention and will purr up a storm. He scratches appropriately on a floor scratcher or mat, and a vertical tall post. Jasper has been with a dog and was fine with a cat-friendly and gentle, not very active dogfriend. He needs a Very slow introduction if being introduced into a home with other cats. Jasper would Really love a quieter home as an only cat. He does get along with other cats, but prefers to have the people to himself. A quieter home is preferred. The adoption fee for our cats is $99.00 which assists in helping with their vet expenses.
