Feathers and Fern are a pair of cockatiels. Feathers is a conventionally marked male, and Fern is a mostly gray female. They''re a little over a year old. These two are a bonded pair and need to go home together, but as long as you don''t provide a nest box they won''t actually breed. They are relatively quiet and don''t do any nuisance screaming or noises. Feathers is okay being handled, but Fern has never really been held. They weren''t very well socialized in their last home, and need someone willing to work with them on gradually getting more confident around people. Fern prefers not to be handled right now (she will improve over time with gentle, reassuring handling), so she may not be the right bird for a novice owner who is afraid of cockatiel bites. These two aren''t typical seed junky cockatiels, and actually prefer a healthier pellet, fruit, and veggie based diet. They like to hang out on top of their cage, although since Fern is a bit more timid it takes her longer to feel safe enough to come out at first. If you''re looking for a nice pair of birds, and you''re willing to put in a little time and training, please come by and check these two out.
