My name is Cameo and I am about eight and a half years old and now weigh 33#. I was rescued along with 11 other dogs from a life of living on the end of a chain. the day I was rescued I only weighed 19# and had to have intravenous fluids immediately. I also tested positive for heartworm disease which I was just treated for on 3-9-10 and 3-10-10. I am feeling great and am ready for someone to adopt me and love me forever! I am a very sweet girl that likes a lot of attention I especially love hugs and kisses! I can't wait to have a home where I can sit on the couch and cuddle with my new family. I have lots of spunk and love to run around and play outside, as you can see in my video. I am not a dog for a new pet owner but for someone who has had experience with dogs and is patient and willing to work with me no matter what challenges I bring. I get along with most dogs but not all, I do fine with cats and also get along with pretty much everyone. I am a little leery of people at first until I know and trust them. I can never, ever be left outside unattended, even in a fenced in area. I will climb fences and I will run off. I must always be on a leash unless I am in a fenced in yard with someone. I do not EVER want to be chained again even for potty time,it brings back bad feelings and as much as I like to go outside to play I want to go right back inside as soon as I am done! If you are looking for a true rescue dog and have a lot of love and patience in your heart then I am the perfect girl for you!
