Montana is a 8 year old warmblood/thoroughbred cross. She is new here, but has done a wonderful job of adjusting. She is great to load/off load on the trailer, easy to groom, tack up, pick feet. She was good for her vaccines, and for her dewormer. She can be fidgity on the cross ties (she will paw, or sidestep), but she was also in the barn by herself. Was good to tack up and to bridle.Under saddle in the ring, she was very eager to 'go' initially, but once she was worked for 10 minutes she settled into a nice comfy trot. Also has a wonderful rocking canter. Montana has a very nice stride and movement. She needs a little help learning how to collect herself though. Responds well to cues, but needs a little leg on occasion. She also has done some jumping in previous home. On the trail she needs encouragement and can be spooky or hesitant with new situations so will need a confident rider. She has been turned out with the two mares here and tends to be on the submissive side, but will give a squeal or two, otherwise not outwardly aggressive towards the other horses.Montana is up to date on all vaccines, deworming, and coggins. She will have her teeth floated before going home. Currently wears shoes in the front and barefoot in the back. Does have a very mild club foot, but does not affect her soundness or rideability.Adoption fee is $1,000.
