Please contact Rebecca (rebecca432@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.
We got a call on Valentine's Day that there were 2 Pit Bulls running around the Edgewood neighborhood of east Atlanta. One of them was reported to be injured, so we hurried out to see them. The injured one was very friendly, and came right up to us for attention. He was hopping on 3 legs, since one of his front legs was swollen. After visiting the vet we found out that he was shot in the leg! The injury was old, and the wound healed up, but the bone was still broken. He's got a cast on now to help it heal, but the vet doesn't expect it to be back to normal. He may walk with a limp, and he'll most likely have arthritis when he gets older.
He needs a loving home where he'll be safe and secure. He's very loving and affectionate, and he leans into you as you pet him. He wags his tail with happiness whenever he sees a person. He hasn't let the cruelty of people in his past affect how he feels today. He has beautiful light eyes that expose his gentle soul. He's available for foster, or foster to adopt, but he can't be permanently adopted out yet. We'd like him to heal some more first. Adonis is currently in a foster home with another male Pit Bull and a female Pit Bull, and he loves them both. He's also good with cats, as long as he's supervised. We're working on getting him to behave even better around cats. Adonis is crate trained and housebroken. If you're interested in fostering or adopting him please fill out an application on our website www.ShelterAngelsPitBullRescue.org.
