PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES FULLY.
Thank you for your interest in adopting one of our homeless pets. We appreciate that you are considering a rescued animal.
In order to adopt or meet with one of our available pets, you must first fill out the Adoption Application located HERE. No one wanting to adopt will be considered without the adoption application first being on file. The Adoption Application does not commit you to adopting, however we need this information on file. The adoption process is as follows: 1. - Adoption Application 2. - Application Approval/Discussion with Adopter 3. - Homevisit. We are unable to make exceptions to these steps.
Most of the information we have on the pet is listed in this description, including age, prospective adoption date, spay/neuter status, vaccination status, and whether the pet is good with children or other animals. Please read the animal's description fully before calling or emailing us for information on the pet. If you have a question that is not covered in the adoption description, please feel free to contact us.
Please note, we do not have a shelter or public location. This means there are no 'Hours of Operation'. If you want to adopt or meet an animal, you must follow the above procedure.
To find out how far you would have to drive to adopt a pet, please click HERE to get an estimated timeframe and distance. Our location is Berwick, PA.

Observing the above guidelines will save us much time and is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Benny is a 9 month old border collie mix that is new to our program as of 3/6/2010. Our initial evaluation of Benny is that he is a friendly and energetic puppy! He has lived with dogs, cats, and children and gets along just fine with them. It is important to remember though, that since he is a herding breed, he may sometimes chase small animals. He also may herd young children. The best home for him would probably have children aged 8 and up, and nicely sized fenced yard. Border collies do need quite a bit of exercise and enjoy running. Please take this into consideration when thinking of adopting Benny.
Benny's color is actually somewhat of a light brindle with white. It's hard to describe until you meet him in person.
Benny is scheduled for his neuter, but most likely will not be ready to actually go home until this is done at the end of March. He will also receive all of his shots at this time.
