We hold stray dogs of Pittsfield, MA. We take in surrendered dogs and cats from surrounding areas, mostly Berkshire County.
Adoption Process:
We have a 2 page application which requests landlord, vet and two references. Standard adoption fees are $150 for dogs, $125 for kittens, $100 for cats, though there are some lowered fees for some elderly animals, or for the adoption of 2 cats or kittens. For cats, we prefer indoor homes but will adopt cats who have outdoor experience to indoor/outdoor homes. We do not require fenced in yards for dogs, but we do try to make sure the dog is a good match to a particular family. We require that adopters call us first to return an animal if they can't keep it.
