Sometimes referred to as a miniature Doberman, this independent little dog makes a good companion for an elderly person. They are very alert and naturally protective and are excellent watchdogs. Pinschers are not good with very small children and strangers.PURPOSE OF BREED:Pinschers have been around for over 300 years. Originally used as ratters, they are fearless little dogs that have also enjoyed much favor as lap dogs in Germany. They have been nicknamed the ?King of the Toys.?AVERAGE LITTER SIZE:3 puppies
A Pinscher?s coat is short, smooth, straight and lustrous. They require no grooming. A Pinscher is either black and tan, or red as well as chocolate and rust.
