Adoption Process:
We adopt rabbits to indoor homes only. Families that have children may adopt, but an adult must agree to be primarily responsible for the rabbit's care, supervise children while around the rabbit, and oversee all aspects of the rabbit's care. All rabbits are spayed or neutered prior to adoption (we do not adopt out intact rabbits). Each adopter must pass a thorough screening by our staff, including an in-home visit, and must receive education in the care of a house rabbit prior to adoption. We require that each adopter sign a contract. Our adoption contract stipulates that if the adopter cannot keep the rabbit for any reason, it must be surrendered to the House Rabbit Society. Adoption fee is $65, which includes the cost of the spay/neuter.
