Once a potential adopter submits the online application a volunteer will notify the potential adopter within a few days that it was received. The potential adopter information will be evaluated against the available dogs and every effort will be made to have the dogs that the potential adopter has requested to meet, or that might potentially be a match available at the next scheduled meet and greet as listed: http://www.mhwc.org/rescue/events.html If any of those particular dogs are not at the meet the potential adopter attends, a volunteer will update the potential adopter on the status of that dog, and set up a separate meet for the potential adopter as soon as possible. We do have them sign a Adoption Contract stating they will take care of the basic needs of the dog. The adoption fee depends on the age of the dog. Are adoption fees vary from $250- $150 . On very special circumstances this could even be waived for very Senior dogs or hospice dogs.
