Casper is a very shy 2 1/2 year-old Border Collie in need of a home. He is a Waggin Inn Rescue dog, but he's currently in a foster home. Casper does well with the two smaller dogs there, and he seems to be fine with cats. He's a smart dog who is picking up on house-training skills. He is crate trained, doesn't mess up things in the house, and he rides nicely in the car. He tends to choose one person in the home to bond with, and he certainly does bond well! He loves to snuggle up on the couch for watching TV, and will give hugs and kisses to his person. It takes awhile for him to warm up to new people. He's a quiet dog. He is very nervous about new situations, but he's becoming more comfortable each day. He seems to prefer women to men (although his best human friend is a male). He enjoys playing out in the yard, although he's unsure of how to play with toys and tennis balls. He's nervous going on walks, but he's very easy on the leash. We think he would do well in a home with another nice dog. A family familiar with shy dogs would be best for him. The most important thing is that his new family accept him for who he is, while giving him the opportunity to meet new people and experience new things. His adoption fee is $75. He has been neutered and is current on vaccines.
