Description:
UPDATE: 09-01-08: Shalomar is still a playful, loving little puppy. She runs and plays so much outside that I have taken to giving her a bath once a week. She is such a little love, hopping in our lap, cuddling on the sofa, looking for a little petting, belly rub, ear scratch that her hair needs brushed a couple of times a day. She loves her daily brushing and stands still enjoying every minute of it. Shalomar is still working on her housetraining, she is pretty good about using pee pads and will potty outside but still has accidents in the house. She really needs at least one other dog to play with and kids age 6 and up would be a plus. She is an active little busy body and loves running and playing with our grandson. I think she would bond very quickly with 'her' kid if she finds a family with children.
Update 08/04/08: At 10 months, 9 lbs Shalomar is a playful, happy little girl. She loves playing with toys in the yard, running with the other pupsters and always seems to have a smile on her face. She loves her person, gently hops onto an available lap and curls in a ball to take a quick power nap. She is generous with her puppy kisses and has never met a stranger. She loves everyone she meets. She will be getting a dental the week of August 4th and will be available for adoption the week of August 11th. Shalomar's adoption fee is $500.
Update 07/19/08: Stunning and loving - the two words that come to mind immediately when I want to describe Shalomar. She has the most gorgeous tri-color coat you've ever seen. I have not been able to take a photo that really shows her colors but she is quite simply beautiful. Shalomar is 10 months old and weighs 8.1 lbs. She is a little thin and I think she should be at 9 or 10 lbs so we are working on helping her gain weight. She was spayed on 7/16/08 and needs to heal before going to her forever home. Shalomar also needed a dental to remove a canine to allow her adult tooth to come in and foster mom forgot to tell the vet, so this will need to be done and she needs her 2nd DHLPP booster. She is UTD on all vaccinations.
Shalomar loves being around her person and will very gracefully hop in your lap if you sit down. She has learned to wait for an invitation (which comes very quickly because she is such a good girl.) She walks like a little princess on a leash and enjoys going for walks. She will use a pee pad when in the house. Shalomar and her mom Molly were both recently spayed so they are confined to prevent injuries so right now her walks are short and she does not have access to the doggie door so she has not learned to use it. She is a bright, happy little one and is going to make someone a wonderful family pet. She would do well with children, other dogs and the jury is still out on cats. She has a very loud bark and does bark at the cat. She loves to cuddle up next to her foster mom at night and will sleep with her head curled under my chin. Shalomar's adoption fee is $500. If you are looking for a family pet to give and receive love, please press her adopt button and fill out an application.
