This ancient breed of Spitz dog was originally used as a versatile farm and hunting dog. Through the centuries the breed?s popularity waned but with the help of a dedicated group of people was redeveloped as the little bird dog we now see today.
The coat is short, dense and standoffish that requires minimal grooming. The color is preferably spots of yellow or brown on a white base, however black spots are also permissible.
Norbottenspets are good with children as well as other animals.
