HEIGHT: MALE : 21 inches(52 cm) - FEMALE : 18 inches(44 cm)AKC Standard minimum is 17.5 inches, French Standard - 18.5 - 20 inches the ideal.WEIGHT: MALE : 35lbs(18 kg) - FEMALE : 30lbs(14 Kg). In proper bone and condition males 38-40#, Females 30-35#
Grooming: 

Coat texture is slightly coarser than other spaniel breeds. Its dense, flat coat needs little grooming. Colors are red and white, liver and white, with white being the predominant. There are 5 colors accepted around the World: Orange/White, Liver/White, Black/White, Liver Tricolor, Black Tricolor in clear pied or roan patterns. Only two countries, the USA & Canada, disqualifies any dog with black pigment for show ring competition under the American Kennel Club or the Canadian Kennel Club.

Common ailments: 

Hip and eye problems.Hip Dysplasia, Seizure disorders of varying origins, and eye problems such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy, Cataracts, Luxated lens are reported in the breed .
