My cat gave birth 7 weeks ago. She had a healthy appetite when the kittens were born, but now that they are gone she has gone off her food. She won't eat and her breasts are all swollen and hard. Is this natural?

 

Veronica, as you likely suspected, this is not normal. There are a number of things that could be wrong with the mama cat and she should be taken to a vet immediately.
