I have a Hungarian Viszla that has numerous problems currently...she first had these weird episodes where she would fall over and couldn't get up. She would lose control of her bladder and pee during this time. They were lasting only about 15 seconds and then she would get right back up and act fine. My vet started her on Phenobarbital for seizures. Shortly after I started her on the meds she started bloating up. I had scheduled her to be spayed and took her in for that appointment. When the vet cut her open fluid poured out of her abdomen. She came through the surgery ok, but was still draining fluid. My vet then put her on Lasix to help absorb the fluid and we stopped the seizure meds. She told us at that time that the previous blood tests had shown low protein levels. It has been about a week and she now looks like skin and bones except for her belly area, which looks like she is taking on fluid again. In the past two days she has had 2 of those weird spells/seizures as well. Any suggestions???...

This is very serious, as you are likely aware. More information would be helpful, but there are several concerns I have.  Did your vet every find a reason for the collapse? The collapse does not sound like an epileptic seizure, more likely, an episode of "fainting" which can be due to a heart problem.   Does your dog have a heart murmur or enlarged heart?  Did your vet do a chest x-ray or evaluate for fluid around the heart resulting in right heart failure?  Was the liver small at surgery?  The intestine thickened?  Did your vet address these issues with you?  If not, please ask your vet to refer you to an internal medicine specialist so you and your baby can get the answers you need and the help your pet deserves.  I hope things go well,
